Errata / Corrigendum

We believe that there may be some minor errors in the publication.
However we do not know what they are.

• One error we suspect is that sometimes the equipment in the mills was not correctly identified, for example some ‘machines’ were described as ‘dressing machines’ (sieves) – to sieve out the bran leaving the white flour whereas they might have been ‘cleaners’  to just clean up the wheat grains (removing mould etc.) before grinding.
• Also we think it may have been difficult to correctly identify the type of mill stones used, especially if different stones were  used top and bottom (runner and bed stone)
