The 'Quaker Centres' group hold an annual conference to which all centres are invited. The programme is arranged to cover topical subjects of common interest. Representatives may be from the management, staff, trustees or directors of any Quaker run, managed or linked enterprise.
The conferencess are usually held in January of February each year.
Some of the subjects covered by the conferences include:
- "Building the Quaker Way" - lead by John Fitzgerald of Quaker Communications, relating to a common Quaker Image based upon our common beliefs.
- "The Framework for Action" - lead by Gillian Ashmore, about how we see The Society of Friends developing in the future
- "Marketing Your Venue and how we can work closer" - lead by Nikky Giles of The Priory Rooms
- In parallel group sessions Trustees and Staff discussed common issues
- "Sourcing Ingredients Locally and Ethically" - lead by Chris Windridge of Action for Market Towns and Emma Hockridge of the Soil Association who also introduced the new Soil Association Cater Mark scheme.
- "Steps on a Green Journey" - discussing various environmental issues.
a total of abou 50 people participate.
